Bioquant case study on tinnitus

The patient used the Bioquant (blue light) device internally and bilaterally. A patient diagnosed with Tinnitus (tinnitus).

The patient is 42 years old:

  • does not use drugs, male, right-handed, optimal BMI index, non-smoker.

He is recreational cycling (daily). The patient is a sports type. He did not overcome any serious illnesses or operations.

The patient has a diagnosis - Tinnitus - a mild form, which is manifested by headache and a form of a spontaneous sound signal (false noise). These two factors negatively affect performance, sleep, ability to concentrate, and the ability to relax. There are a fluctuating mood and fatigue.

QEEG showed a high degree of anxiety, which was manifested by increased activity of Beta bands of high frequencies Beta 1 and Beta 2 growing from pre-frontal to occipital regions, negatively affecting the activity of brain waves of the Alpha spectrum. Marginal Alpha was also measured in the occipital region in the ratio of eyes closed and open. The ability to relax is suppressed.

In addition, an increased incidence of slow Theta and Delta waves was recorded at high amplitudes in the frontal region and in the frontal region.

Course description

First day

Severe headache, low ability to concentrate, high levels of fatigue, especially in the morning, impaired sleep performance, decreased cognitive performance, nervousness, irritability, high levels of "false noise", low levels of relaxation, impaired emotions, and mood.

Conclusion

Overall, the patient-rated the blue light stimulation as highly effective.

The onset of the effects of stimulation was felt within 6 minutes, with the headache disappearing and, subjectively, the pressure in the head, which he had previously experienced before, always decreased. There was also a reduction in anxiety and a reduction in the volume of internal noise subjectively by approx. 15%. The patient continues to use Bioquant according to the schedule. The reduction in anxiety is also documented by daily measurements on the IRelax instrument. Another case study by measuring QEEG after completing a 30-day stimulation with a Bioquant will be published. The patient's current condition is described after thirty-six stimulations with blue light (36x).
